Names and Faces: Andrea Casiraghi; William and Kate

The Reliable Source is off for the July 4th holiday and will resume Monday. (To see Wednesday’s column begin here: The telenovela life of Mexico’s new president; to see Tuesday’s column begin here: Tipper Gore is dating someone, too: Former National Geographic editor Bill Allen.) Names and Faces is the column that runs in its place in the Style section during holidays:

Andrea Casiraghi of the royal family of Monaco announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Tatiana Santo Domingo, the palace confirmed to People.

Casiraghi’s mother, Princess Caroline, issued the official statement sharing her joy for the couple, which she signed as “Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Hanover.” Caroline, 55, is married to Prince Ernst of Hanover.

Santo Domingo and Casiraghi, both 28, met through mutual friends at the American University of Paris and have been together for seven years.

Grandchild to Princess Grace Kelly, Casiraghi is the eldest of Caroline’s three children from her second marriage to the late Stefano Casiraghi. She has a fourth child with Ernst.

Casiraghi is next in the line of succession to the Monaco throne, after his uncle Prince Albert II.

Prince William and wife Kate were spotted Wednesday at Wimbledon, People reports. The couple reportedly looked happy and relaxed courtside in the royal box as they watched Roger Federer beat Mikhail Youzhny on the famous Centre Court. The British royal couple stayed until Wednesday’s quarterfinal match between Andy Murray and David Ferrer. Kate, an avid tennis player, was wearing the Alexander McQueen sailor-inspired outfit she wore last year during the couple’s visit to Canada.
