Names & Faces: Newt and Callista Gingrich; Gen. Petraeus

Newt and Callista Gingrich. (John Amis/Associated Press) Spotted: Newt and Callista Gingrich getting caffeinated at a McPhereson Square Starbucks on Tuesday morning. The former house speaker and Republican presidential hopeful (blue blazer and khakis) hovered in the corner with his blackberry while his wife (electric blue suit, black pumps) ordered drinks. Once the beverages were ready, they hopped into a black SUV and hit the road.

Also spotted: Gen. Petraeus dining with his daughter, Anne, at Dupont Circle’s Hudson Restaurant & Lounge on Monday night. The C.I.A. director ordered a watermelon salad, halibut, and picked fruit, plus an additional peach and kale salad with a side of tomato and basil. They stuck around for two hours.
