The grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II made Christmas visits to their grandfather Prince Philip as he recovered in a British hospital from a heart procedure, the Associated Press reports.
The 90-year-old, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, was admitted to a hospital Friday for chest pains. Doctors found a blocked coronary artery and inserted a stent.
According to the Associated Press, Buckingham Palace said that it does not know when Philip will be released but that he is “in good spirits” and will remain under observation.
The prince missed the royal family’s traditional festivities, including opening presents, going to a morning service at St. Mary Magdalene Church and viewing the queen’s Christmas broadcast.
Prince William and brother Prince Harry arrived at Papworth Hospital in separate cars from Sandringham, a royal estate, where the family had gathered for the holiday.
Prince Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, and Princess Anne’s children, Zara and Peter, also visited the hospital.
White House gate-crasher Tareq Salahi, who filed for divorce from his wife, Michaele Salahi, in September, has responded in legal documents to a recent filing by his wife, TMZ reports.
Tareq claims Michaele lived beyond her means, had an affair with an arena rocker and lied about being a Washington Redskins cheerleader and a Victoria’s Secret model. Tareq says his wife spent thousands of dollars on hair extensions, beauty treatments and lavish parties, including one that cost $16,000. The other man in the picture? Journey guitarist Neal Schon, whom Tareq quotes in his response.
Tareq filed for divorce in Warren County Circuit Court in Virginia on Sept. 16, citing his wife’s affair with the ’80s rocker as grounds.
In court papers filed this month, Michaele characterized Tareq as violent and claimed she had fled to the Journey guitarist out of fear for her safety.
Tareq has denied those accusations.
Wed in 2003, the Salahis gained national infamy when they got past White House security at a 2009 state dinner and shook hands with President Obama. Last year, the couple appeared on Bravo’s reality TV show “The Real Housewives of D.C.”
Fans of the scrubbed TV sitcom “Scrubs” awoke Christmas morning to find a gift from series stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison: a music video on YouTube called “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” The actors, in sunglasses and suits, riffed on the classic tune, making references to delicious lips and Afro combs, while crooning poolside in Los Angeles.
