Another fairytale wedding in the works

Another year, another royal wedding to look forward to. The Associated Press reports that Princess Madeleine of Sweden has set a June 8 date to wed New York banker Christopher O’Neill. The 30-year-old Madeleine is will say “I do” to the 38-year-old O’Neill at the Royal Palace chapel in downtown Stockholm.

Robierb has the heart of a Champion

In the meantime, here’s a wedding that almost went under the radar. “Good Morning America” weatherman Sam Champion recently tied the knot, marrying longtime boyfriend Rubem Robierb, according to Us Weekly. The couple announced their engagement in October, which also served as Champion’s coming out announcement. “What I’m most excited about is [my fiance] and the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with him,” Champion said. The wedding took place in New York City Friday afternoon, with fellow GMA anchors Josh Elliott and Robin Roberts in attendance. Roberts,out on medical leave for the rare blood and bone marrow disorder, MDS, recited a poem by Elizabeth Barrett Browning for the newlyweds.

Joyners unchained

Nationally syndicated radio host Tom Joyner has divorced from his wife of 12 years, ESPN sports commentator Donna Richardson, according to the New York Daily News. The divorce was kept under wraps and the couple discreetly finalized their split a few weeks ago. The Daily News says that the couple came to a “mutual but not exactly amicable” decision to end the relationship.

Don’t stand under my umbrella

Rihanna, 24, had an unwelcomed visitor in Barbados Sunday afternoon. An unidentified man was so anxious to meet the “Diamonds” and “Umbrella” singer that he swam onto the same beach where the singer was renting a villa for the holidays, says the U.K.’s Sun. He then wandered around the property until he found Rihanna lounging poolside. Apparently, he had been seen on the island everyday since Rihanna arrived. After coming within 12 ft. of Rihanna he was apprehended by the singer’s security. Wearing nothing but his bathing trunks, he was questioned by police but was not arrested.

Ashton Kutcher’s Demi-less Christmas

Just days after filing for divorce from Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher was spotted spending the holidays in his hometown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with girlfriend Mila Kunis, reports People. The That 70’s Show costars were seen enjoying frozen yogurt at Fruitzen Frozen Yogurt. Kutcher, 34, filed for divorce from Moore, 50, on Friday after a yearlong separation.

Def-tly handled

According to the New York Daily News, Def Jam founder Russell Simmons went on vacation with his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons and their two daughters, Ming and Aoki, as well as Kimora’s son from a previous relationship, Kenzo Hounsou. He then went off to spend some quality time with his new girlfriend, German model Hana Nitsche.
