“No offense meant to anyone but [it] doesn’t appear to be somewhere I’m actually wanted or respected.”
— Axl Rose declaring that he will not attend his band Guns N’ Roses’ induction Saturday into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in a letter shared with the L.A. Times Wednesday. In a lengthy epistle recounting various hurts over the years from ex-bandmates, the lead singer asked the Hall of Fame “that I not be inducted in absentia” — but if the rest of the band wants to be recognized, fine by him.
