“If somebody’s dumb enough to ask me to go to a political convention and say something, they’re gonna have to take what they get.”
— Clint Eastwood discussing the incident in Tampa with the TV show “Extra” — and did he just insult his RNC hosts there? Hmm. Would he do the talking-to-a-chair bit if he had it all to do over again? “I don’t know. I never look backwards. It’s done and it’s done. I probably would.” The Oscar winner reclaimed his powers of diplomacy when asked if he’d agree to star with Sylvester Stallone in the next “Expendables” sequel. “Probably. . . not,” Eastwood said delicately, adding wryly: “Perhaps I’ll direct ‘Expendables 3.’”
