“I’ve got a fishing trip planned that week.”

 

— Dick Cheney on why he’s skipping the GOP convention next month and headed to Canada instead. “I’ve done a lot of conventions over the years, but this is a special trip I’ve been planning on for a long time,” he told “Good Morning America.” Former presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush won’t be in Tampa, either.
