— Kid Rock’s wishful-thinking response to Mitt Romney choosing his wholesome tune “Born Free” as a campaign theme song. Yes, the candidate asked permission, and yes, Kid granted it, he said on his blog Wednesday, but he’d do the same for any pol — and he’s waiting for the day someone uses his heavily-bleeped 2007 radio hit instead (“You’re so hott I wanna get you alone / you're so hott I wanna get you stoned”).
