Read this: Ann Romney’s shirt, a real Washington party, RIP Adam Yauch

Ann Romney on “CBS This Morning” Tuesday. (Jeff Neira/CBS)
Have we talked enough about Ann Romney’s $900 shirt yet? If not pundits are standing by, waiting to help you get it out of your system — but our colleague Dan Zak warns that if you go down that route, there will be no end. (What about the tote by the same designer Michelle Obama carries? And don’t you want to know how much Mitt’s suit cost?) “Presidents, wannabe presidents and their spouses are not — and will never be — average citizens with average wardrobes.” Bonus treat at the end of this story for you English majors.

Forget the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. If you want a real Washington party, check out the suburban bash Petula Dvorak went to. Nowhere else in America, this kind of party.

And RIP Adam Yauch. The Beastie Boy has died of cancer. More stories to come, we’re sure; in the meantime, a first-draft obituary by our colleague Chris Richards; plus, a remembrance featuring a treasure trove of early Beastie Boys reviews from the Washington Post.
