Back in December, before he left office, former Florida governor Charlie Crist helped secure a posthumous pardon for Doors singer Jim Morrison. So, you’d think he had some good rock star-karma heading his way. Alas, no. On Monday, Crist settled a lawsuit filed by former Talking Heads front man David Byrne, who sued him last year for using his song, “Road to Nowhere,” in a campaign ad without permission, reports Associated Press. The terms of the settlement were not released, but it included this awkward, long-winded, mea culpa that was posted to youtube .
