“The future of golf is a shambling, disheveled working-class Northern Irish kid with a swing like a butter knife, writes Sally Jenkins: Meet Rory McIlroy.

And just look at what he’s wearing! Color-blocking – it’s not just the thing on the runways (or in Eva Longoria’s celebvocacy garb); it’s also the trend-setting look on the men of the U.S. Open, writes Katherine Boyle — “a Rothko spattering of acid greens, scarlet reds, fuchsia and tangerine. A revolution in color, happening in Bethesda.”

See, now, didn’t you figure Obama and Boehner would be playing against each other in that legendary, much-anticipated golf summit? But no, they actually teamed up together to take on another bipartisan duo, Joe Biden and John Kasich, who seem to have let the president and the speaker win.
