Meet Matthew VanDyke, the Baltimore guy who joined the Libyan rebels. He sang Guns N’ Roses songs to himself while in jail and worried about having his fingernails pulled out. But the experience cured his OCD. “Why don’t more people do it?” he tells our colleague Tara Bahrampour. And yes, he’s writing a book.

Former mayor-for-life Marion Barry is seeing potential for a monarchy in ward 8, which he hopes to pass on to his troubled son Christopher, reports Mike DeBonis.
