Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins -- both are women, both are U.S. senators from Maine, both are moderate Republicans who frequently oppose their conservative colleagues. They vote in unison on all major issues. And apparently, they can’t stand each other! But if you’re looking for a delicious catfight, you won’t find it in Martha Sherrill’s very long dual profile of the two women; apparently, they’re just like the boys that way. “Christopher Dodd told me that the hardest relationship most senators have,” says Joe Lieberman, “is with the senator from their own state.”
