Surreal estate: Ted and Lynn Leonsis buy Nantucket home

Buyers: Ted and Lynn Leonsis

Selling price: $6.7 million

Details: The owner of the Wizards and the Caps already has a nice waterfront mansion on the Potomac — so it’s probably okay that his new place on Nantucket doesn’t have beachfront, just gorgeous ocean views. Also, five bedrooms, five and a half baths and a pool. Leonsis told us the purchase (first reported by island’s Inquirer and Mirror) was inspired by a family stay last fall at the guest house of the Carlyle Group’s David Rubenstein, who lives on the same road. “We toured the island and fell in love with it,” he said. “My wife really liked the low-key atmosphere.”
