Recapping this week’s battles in the murky yet very public Jackson family war:
Driving narrative: Control of the late Michael Jackson’s three children and his fortune.
Timing: Linked to last week’s accusation (by five of Jackson’s siblings) that estate lawyers faked Michael’s will and are manipulating their mother.
Key player: Katherine Jackson, who returned to the family home in L.A. Thursday after nine mysterious days in Arizona. The 82-year-old went on ABC’s “Nightline” to say the rumors that she had been kidnapped by her adult children were “very stupid” — but would not take any questions.
New character: T.J. Jackson, Tito’s 34-year-old son, who was awarded temporary guardianship of his cousins at an emergency hearing Wednesday.
Wildcard: Katherine’s nephew Trent Jackson, who according to some accounts, scuffled with Jermaine, Randy and Janet at the family home Monday.
Coming up: More drama. Messages published early Thursday on the Twitter account of Prince, 15, condemning “certain people and their ways” — apparently directed at his aunts and uncles — were mysteriously deleted later in the day.”
