Arlo Guthrie was a last-minute cancellation at the Kennedy Center’s Sunday night centennial tribute to his father, Woody Guthrie — and the veteran folk singer revealed that it was because his wife, Jackie, died that morning after a battle with cancer. They had celebrated their 43rd anniversary just days before. “There are loves, and there are LOVES. Ours was and will continue to be what it has always been — a very great love,” he wrote on Facebook Monday. “And we would always return to it year after year, decade after decade and I believe life after lifetime.”
