Update: Bono drops in on White House as much as Oprah

We knew we were forgetting someone! Our search of the White House visitors log to determine which celebrities have the most pull found Steven Spielberg in a race with Oprah Winfrey, with his four visits to her five. But we neglected to look up one Mr. Paul Hewson, aka Bono.

Would you be surprised to learn that the rock star/third world debt-relief advocate had arranged five top-level meetings during the Obama years, including a private lunch with the president in December? (No, you probably would not be surprised.)

Who else got into the White House?

For all the controversy over whether she’s gotten too much access to Pentagon and CIA officials for her forthcoming Osama Bin Laden movie, there’s no sign of Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow. However, her screenwriting partner Mark Boal scored two WH visits last summer, records show. And Bigelow’s ex-husband James Cameron, of “Titanic” and Avatar” fame, had an Oval Office “drop-by” in April 2010.

But Clinton-era drop-by pal Barbra Streisand has only been once in recent years, for a state dinner. Young Jeezy and President Obama may have a mutual-admiration thing going, but doesn’t look like the rapper’s ever paid a visit (and yes, we looked under his real name). Nor has Al “Let’s Stay Together” Green. And look as hard as you might, and you won’t find a Lohan. Or Kardashian. Or Kanye.

Any other surprising names on the list — or surprising omissions? Check out the Washington Post’s White House Visitors Database.
