How’s this for lucky? Beth Topinka, a science teacher from New Jersey, and Karen Blutcher, were announced Thursday as the winners of President Obama’s small-donor sweepstakes for tickets to George Clooney’s epic fundraising dinner. Fifty finalists were chosen by drawing before they were winnowed via background checks. Both women brought their husbands as guests.
