A year after they postponed their wedding, Michelle Rhee and Kevin Johnson tied the knot in Tennesse over Labor Day weekend.

The Sacramento Bee reports that the former D.C. schools chancellor and the mayor of Sacramento exchanged vows before a small group of family and friends at Blackberry Farm, a resort in the Great Smoky Mountains outside of Knoxville, Tenn. Engaged almost two years, the power couple had originally planned a bigger ceremony at the home of a California developer and supporter of the mayor’s — but changed their minds after it drew a lot of media attention.
