A rep for Mike Tyson is disputing what she calls “completely inaccurate” reports that he stiffed fans at Sunday’s LA Boxing opening in Bethesda. Although the gym announced the champ’s appearance in advance and sent an e-mail apology to fans left waiting in line, Tammy Brook said Tyson was “unaware that there was an event taking place and never agreed to a promotional appearance.” She said he only planned to meet the gym staff because his daughter works out there and was “kind enough” to take photos and greet a few fans. The gym did not respond to a request for further comment.
