“This is not boxers doing a kick line . . . It’s very, very cleverly created.”

— Bill Taylor, part of Sylvester Stallone’s producing team hoping to bring a musical version of “Rocky” to Broadway next year. No, seriously. Great music came from those movies, and you’ll be glad to know they found room to include, along with the new songs, both the “Gotta Fly Now” anthem and the “Rocky III” theme “Eye of the Tiger” when it was staged in Germany last fall as “Rocky: Das Musical.” (Not making that part up either.) Taylor reminded AP that this is not just a story about boxing but an “intimate, powerful and gritty and moving love story between two people who are both lonely and in a difficult place in their worlds.” Read more: Musical of ‘Rocky’ heading to Broadway’s Winter Garden after being a knockout in Germany
