“When a police officer tells you to stay in the car, you stay in the car.”

Reese Witherspoon telling “Good Morning America” about her lessons learned following her disorderly conduct arrest in Atlanta last month. The Oscar winner elaborated on an earlier mea culpa: After having “one too many glasses of wine,” they drove when they should not have, and when her husband was pulled over, she “panicked” and started arguing with the police officer. “I said all kinds of crazy things. I had no idea what I was talking about. . . I played a lawyer in a movie so many times I think I am a lawyer. And clearly I’m not a lawyer, because I got arrested.” UPDATE: TMZ reports that she pleaded no contest Thursday and will pay a fine; husband Jim Toth pleaded guilty to DUI and will have community service and probation.
