Aretha Franklin has canceled appearances in Chicago and Connecticut next week for health reasons, reported the Associated Press Monday. The singer, 71, will undergo treatment for an unspecified ailment during that time. Franklin was equally tight-lipped about a health scare, hospitalization and and surgery in 2010, but emerged 85 pounds lighter.
