Nearly four years after slipping away to a deserted North Pacific island to live out his survivalist dream, Sen. Jeff Flake escaped again for four days during the Memorial Day recess. But this time Flake took along his two youngest sons for close encounters with sharks and other manly pursuits: “1 senator, 2 sons, 4 days, 1 deserted island” reports our colleague Ed O’Keefe. “This ought to be mandatory” for senators, said Flake. “We’d all discover that no man is an island.”
