Dang, are we allowed to talk about this in a family newspaper? Michael Douglas backtracks from statements suggesting that his throat cancer stemmed from his, uh, love life practices; clarifies that he simply meant that some throat cancers can be connected to one’s love life practices. We’ll just duck our editors and let the Associated Press handle this one. It’s a good story.

Retired NBA star Mookie Blaylock, recovering from his own severe injuries, has been charged with vehicular homicide for a head-on crash that killed a woman near Atlanta last week. (AP)
