Stevie Wonder vows to boycott Florida over Trayvon Martin (video)

July 16, 2013

“Until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again. . . wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”

– Stevie Wonder announcing during a Quebec City concert Sunday that he will not play perform in Florida until the controversial provision that played a role in George Zimmerman’s defense is overturned. He added, to cheers from the audience, that “for those of you who’ve lost in the battle for justice. . . we can’t bring them back. What we can do is we can let our voices be heard.” Thoughts, anyone?
