— Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan celebrating Yom Kippur at Adas Israel Congregation in Cleveland Park. Ginsburg attended an alternative outdoor service Friday night, while Kagan opted for the traditional services inside. Unexpected treat: During a serious discussion Saturday afternoon between journalist Jeffrey Goldberg and departing Israeli ambassador Michael Oren, there emerged some playful stories about Oren’s wife, Sally, who hung out with Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and the Doors in San Francisco as a teenager. (Jefferson Airplane even wrote two songs about her.) Who knew?
