Hey, isn’t that… Labor Secretary Tom Perez, biking to work Thursday morning?

The labor chief  was showing his support for D.C’ s “Bike to Work” day (that’s Friday, but Perez will be traveling then) — and for his hometown team: the Cabinet secretary’s bike gear of choice was a bright red Nats shirt.

A spokesman tells us it’s not the first time the boss has pedaled to the office  from his Takoma Park home. Biking to work “really clears my mind,” Perez wrote on the DOL’s blog on Thursday. And he wants employees to get in on the brain-boosting — Perez also announced that DOL will reimburse employees who commute via bike $20 a month.
