Hey, isn’t that… chef/restaurateur Alice Waters and cookbook author and TV host Joan Nathan at Cleveland Park’s Ripple on Wednesday night.
No pressure, of course, for the Ripple team, including toque Marjorie Meek-Bradley. Waters only practically invented the concept of farm-to-table eating back in the 1970s at her seminal eatery, Chez Panisse. And Nathan’s considered one of the reigning queens of Jewish cuisine.
The foodie duo, spotted noshing on sweetbreads, pig’s ear, and duck, are in town to host this weekend’s Sips & Suppers benefit for Martha’s Table and D.C. Central Kitchen.
