Hey isn’t that… Actress and advocate Glenn Close having lunch in the Members Dining Room in the Capitol with Rep. Doris Matsui (D-Calif.) and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) on Wednesday afternoon. We’re told the power trio discussed issues surrounding mental health.
Matsui and Stabenow are the lead sponsors, in the House and Senate respectively, of the “Excellence in Mental Health Act,” which would expand access to community mental health services. Close is the founder of Bring Change 2 Mind, a national campaign to end the stigma surrounding mental illness, and will receive an Advocacy Award from Research!America on Wednesday night.
