The stars and director of the upcoming biopic “Cesar Chavez” walked the Newseum’s red carpet on Tuesday night at a screening of the movie sponsored by Voto Latino.
Not a bad way to warm up for Wednesday’s White House viewing of the flick.
Director Diego Luna took a little direction himself from the photographers lining the red carpet as he took questions about Chavez — and raved about his leading ladies’ activism and acting.
Rosario Dawson, who plays labor leader Dolores Huerta, wore a sparkly Antonio Berardi dress with a dramatic wide waistband, joking that she had rehearsed the designer’s name, afraid she was going to say “Bacardi.”
And of course it wouldn’t be a Washington premiere if you didn’t have a congressional cameo. Rep. Xavier Becerra did the honors:
