Chelsea Clinton to Jimmy Fallon: People always ask me when I’ll run

Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton is tired of people asking when she’ll run for office.

“Very  few days go by when people  don’t ask me that question,” she said during an appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” when host Jimmy Fallon posed it. But she didn’t actually answer the apparently Burning Question during her brief guest stint show on the late-night hawking this week’s Clinton Global Initiative University at Arizona University.

Clinton, the Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation (huh, wonder how she got the job?), described the mission of the university as bolstering business and non-profit ideas from activist-minded entrepreneurs.

Alas, she shot down Fallon’s business idea: “cranberry singles,” individual servings of the Thanksgiving-favorite sauce for use on sandwiches.

“Not at all,” she said, diplomatically offering to help him channel the inspiration behind the idea into something more do-good-ery.

During the brief appearance, Clinton dished about her sort-of-incognito Big Apple lifestyle: “I love living in New York,” she said. “I walk my dog every morning. Sometimes people ask me questions about healthcare.”
