President Obama has proved time and time again that he knows how to woo the stars. And the rollout of the Affordable Care Act has proved he may be getting better at it.
The White House has wrangled more than 40 celebrities and some of their moms in an effort to get young Americans signed up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act ahead of Monday’s deadline to enroll.
Some proved a little more useful to the White House than others. Funny or Die generated more than 20 million hits on its Obamacare-related videos, largely carried by Zach Galifianakis’s interview with President Obama on “Between Two Ferns.” And then there was Lance Bass, who generated some attention all right. People started questioning his involvement after he tweeted out a link to HealthCare.org (it’s actually .gov).
So, we here at the The Reliable Source have sifted through all the celeb ads for HealthCare.gov and picked our top five. Watch the video above to see who sold it best.
