Gov. Chris Christie won’t miss comedian David Letterman’s fat jokes

Add outgoing “Late Show” host David Letterman to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s burn book.

Christie, who was spotted attending a fundraiser at Ardeo + Bardeo in Washington on Tuesday, tweeted Wednesday that he’d miss the comedian’s fat jokes — not.

On Monday, the Father’s Day/Mother’s Day Council announced that Christie, a father of four, would be awarded the nonprofit’s annual “Father of the Year” award in June. Wasting absolutely no comedic timing, Letterman’s “Late Show” on Tuesday night poked fun at Christie’s award with a faux-newscast in which a narrator explains, “the word Father contains the word ‘fat,’ and Governor Christie is fat.” Ba dum bum.

Looks like Colbert just earned himself another fan.
