“I haven’t become an expert in anything. I’m not sophisticated when it comes to politics, when it comes to journalism. I’m not as smart as the characters [on Newsroom] are or, as you can see, as articulate.”

–Screenwriter and creator of HBO’s ‘The Newsroom” Aaron Sorkin during a chat with former White House speechwriter Jon Favreau at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Monday. Sorkin, who also created the fast-talking politicos of “The West Wing,” drove home the point, adding, “I want to make it clear: I don’t know nothin’.”
