The Reliable Source will return tomorrow. Names & Faces is the column that runs in its place.
Paisley surprises the troops
President Obama wasn’t the only person who surprised the troops over Memorial Day weekend. Country star Brad Paisley, 41, hitched a ride with Obama to visit servicemembers at Bagram Airfield, the main U.S. base in Afghanistan, on Sunday, our colleague Scott Wilson reports. Paisley called the event “the honor of my life.”
Hermione Granger, college graduate
Emma Watson walked across the stage and accepted her degree from Brown University on Sunday, Time reports. The “Noah” actress, 24, enrolled in 2009 and transferred to Oxford in 2011 for just a few semesters before coming back to the Ivy League school to finish her degree in English Literature.

A ‘Happy Endings’ star marries
Casey Wilson, 33, wed television writer David Caspe, 35, in Ojai, Calif. Sunday, E! News reports. Wilson, an Alexandria native and “SNL” alum, and Caspe met in March 2010 when she auditioned for the role of Penny on “Happy Endings,” a show Caspe created. The couple told the New York Times’ weddings section that they didn’t start dating until more than a year later since “David felt it was not a good idea to get involved with the actresses.”
The newlyweds will be working together again soon with their new half-hour comedy “Marry Me,” which is loosely based on their engagement and relationship, debuting this fall on NBC. This is the first marriage for both.
The Kimye wedding fallout
While Kim Kardashian and Kanye West floated around Florence in their diamond-encrusted love bubble, Kim’s brother Rob Kardashian was meandering Los Angeles in basketball shorts. He seems to have skipped the wedding, and now he’s deleted the tweets that put him in L.A. while the nuptials were taking place in Italy — either to clean his record or thoroughly confuse us.
In other Kimye news: Baby North isn’t going on the honeymoon with her two superstar parents. She must be crushed.
“House’s” Dr. Cuddy weds
Also on Sunday, Lisa Edelstein, 48, tied the knot with artist Robert Russell in Los Angeles. The actress, best known for her role in the medical drama “House,” will star in Bravo’s first-ever scripted series, “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,” premiering next year.
