It’s wedding season! If your summer is filled with travels to celebrate love, you are not alone. Many of the Redskins will likely be making their way to Atlanta later this month to cheer on Kirk Cousins. The Redskins backup quarterback and Julie Hampton will tie the knot on July 28 in Hampton’s hometown. The two got engaged in November at the Capitol building thanks to a favor Cousins called in to U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.). For those counting, that’s a busy seven months for the lovebirds.

Cousins and Hampton were all smiles when talking about the upcoming nuptials at Pierre Garcon’s Boys and Girls Clubs charity event. “He didn’t help at all,” Hampton ribbed. “I would ask him ‘this’ or ‘this’ and he would say ‘you pick.'”

One aspect of wedding planning Cousins handled himself:  The bachelor party. “I couldn’t not get involved in that,” Cousins said.

The couple is registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Pottery Barn. There are still a few items available on the registry — unless you’re looking for Michigan State and Georgia items. Those items have all been snapped up.
