Stars, they’re just like us! That is until they do something really cool. On Friday, Amy Adams, last seen in the Oscar-nominated “American Hustle” and currently filming the new Superman flick (she plays Lois Lane), used her own super powers for good.
Before boarding a flight to Los Angeles from Detroit, where “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is filming, Adams noticed a soldier in uniform at her gate. According to a witness, the Golden Globe winner then quietly asked to switch seats with the soldier. She was in first class (natch), and he was in coach.
“I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams’s seat,” Detroit native Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN’s “Numbers Never Lie,” told ABC News. “… It was pretty clear that she’d given up her seat for him. I was incredibly impressed.”
Once the plane landed in L.A., Adams, who met with the soldier briefly while on the flight, was approached by a camera crew from “Inside Edition.”
“I didn’t do it for attention for myself. I did it for attention for the troops,” said Adams, whose father served in the military.
