Hey isn’t that…Comedian Chris Rock and his family stopping for lunch at Joe’s Stone Crab in D.C. on Saturday afternoon? Our tipster says Rock came in first and enjoyed a little alone time at the bar while watching “Sports Center.” Wife Malaak and their daughters, 12-year-old Lola and 10-year-old Zahra, joined him later.

It also turns out that the “Everybody Hates Chris” producer is a bit of a softy. Our sources says he was more than happy to drop into the kitchen and chat with the entire staff, “which made their day.”

No word on why Rock, a friend of the Obamas, was in town, but it probably wasn’t to rally for a cause. The comedian told talk show host Chelsea Handler in June that after supporting Obama’s gun control proposals last February he received death threats. “You’ll never see me talk against anything for the rest of my life,” joked Rock. “If you see me talking about a cause, they’re giving me a check.”
