Nicholas Cage films ‘The Runner’ on the Mall

July 28, 2014

Hey, isn’t that… Prolific actor Nicolas Cage (seriously, the guy has been in approximately a thousand flicks), jogging the Mall on Sunday?

Though the “Raising Arizona” star was dressed for a workout, sporting a Tulane T-shirt and athletic kicks , he wasn’t there for pleasure — this was all business. Cage was being filmed by a camera crew for his latest movie, “The Runner,” in which he plays a Louisiana politician caught up in a scandal (who would believe that premise?) following the Deepwater oil spill.

According to the D.C. Office for Motion Picture and TV Development, Cage and his gang filmed at three different locations along the Mall and in Georgetown. Spies also spotted Cage at the downtown Marriottt Renaissance

“The Runner” has also been filming in New Orleans.
