Friday question

President Obama is on a bad run. Unemployment is up to 9.2 percent. His approval rating has been sliding downhill. We have no debt deal, no budget for 2012 and no Middle East peace process. (Recall that he invested a large amount of his credibility in hammering out a peace deal in a year.) What should Obama do to pull out of his slump? Is he seriously at risk of losing in 2012, or does the GOP lack an acceptable alternative?
