I am not sure which is more significant: that Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) is putting responsibility for the economy on the shoulders of the president or that the RNC’s communications team is sending this video around:
The president asked to be assessed on the economy but has tried in the lead-up to 2012 to talk about everything but the economic results of his policies. We’ve had Mediscare. We’ve had a speech on the Arab Spring. We’ve had a European trip. But what we haven’t had is the president trumpeting his accomplishments. Well, there aren’t that many, you say. And then how do you suppose he’ll win reelection?
