Untenable. “President Obama has threatened to veto a bill that would codify his own policy of repealing the employer mandate for one year. He supports rewriting federal law – but only if he does it. Not if Congress does it. I’d wager lots of congressional Democrats are pretty angry at President Obama today.”

Unconstitutional. “A third federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that President Barack Obama’s recess appointments of three National Labor Relations Board members was unconstitutional. A divided three-judge panel of the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals joined federal appeals courts in the District of Columbia and Philadelphia in ruling that the Senate wasn’t really in recess when Obama filled the vacancies during an extended holiday break in January 2012. The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear the D.C. case.”

Unbecoming. “The Justice Department has earned the trust of the United States courts precisely because it resists the politicization of law enforcement. Its tradition is to ensure the equal protection of law for every American, to evaluate cases strictly on the basis of facts and law, and to recognize its obligations not only to the community but also to criminal suspects. Yet, though Attorney General Eric Holder never tires of reminding us about the due process owed even to foreign terrorists who’ve confessed to mass murder, the principle does not seem to apply to Zimmerman, an American now acquitted of murder.”

Unknown. “Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) has kept one of the lowest profiles of any U.S. senator,  rarely seen on cable news shows or quoted in media coverage.”  And rarely, if ever, responsible for doing anything significant.

Unfortunately, she might be in the minority in this administration. Samantha Power: “I will not apologize for America.”

Unimportant to Eric Holder. He’s got a base-pleasing position and won’t let their own welfare get in the way. “African Americans benefit from Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ self-defense law at a rate far out of proportion to their presence in the state’s population,  despite an assertion by Attorney General Eric Holder that repealing ‘Stand Your Ground’ would help African Americans. Black Floridians have made about a third of the state’s total ‘Stand Your Ground’ claims in homicide cases, a rate nearly double the black percentage of Florida’s population. The majority of those claims have been successful, a success rate that exceeds that for Florida whites.”

Unlikely to be trusted. “Obama administration officials assured Congress on Wednesday morning that the technology undergirding Obamacare will be ready on time and will be secure from cyber attacks, although testimony and congressional questions revealed risks.”
