Here’s one Jewish leader who is totally incoherent. “Anti-Defamation League chairman Abe Foxman supports a push in Congress for heavier Iran sanctions even though he won’t personally lobby for them right now. . . . Foxman said that he supports a call for new sanctions by Illinois Senator Mark Kirk, one of the most forceful voices for new Iran sanctions in Congress, even though he has agreed to not publicly lobby for new sanctions for 30 days while the U.S. conducts nuclear talks with Iran.” Got that? Time to spend more time with his family, maybe.

Her answers are indecipherable. “Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, peppered [Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen] Sebelius with questions about President Barack Obama oft-stated pledge that anyone who likes their coverage will be able to keep it — a promise the administration no longer makes. Asked if that was an accurate statement, Sebelius declined Cornyn’s request for a yes or no answer.”

It is incomprehensible how this many people could have performed so ineptly. Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Marilyn “Tavenner said she had been aware of security concerns in late September but had not brought them to the attention of Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of Health and Human Services, or the White House Office of Management and Budget. She said she had approved a six-month plan to mitigate the risks.”

Republicans would be incapable of making this stuff up. “Delaware has seen only a handful enrollments in its new ObamaCare insurance  exchange, which is served by HealthCare.gov, according to an informal survey of  community groups. The Associated Press reported that four patients had signed up for coverage as of Wednesday. The figure came from conversations with  organizations hired to provide guidance within the marketplaces.”

Obamacare will have an injurious impact, to be sure. “Fees the federal government will impose Jan. 1 to help fund provisions of the Affordable Care Act will cost the city of Albuquerque an additional $875,000 in the current fiscal year and Bernalillo County an additional $349,000, according to a city Budget Division analysis.”

Incompetence and dishonesty are a brutal combination. “The last six weeks have been brutal ones for the Obama presidency. And I’m guessing that the damage that’s been inflicted will not be transitory. All the failures surrounding the Affordable Care Act — from the disastrous rollout of the federal health-care exchanges, to sticker shock surrounding premiums and deductibles, to the jolting realization that millions of people are now being forced out of health-care plans they like (with millions more to follow) — has likely left an indelible mark of incompetence on Mr. Obama. He looks like nothing so much as a community organizer who is totally overmatched by events.” Read the whole thing.

Democrats are becoming inconsolable.”Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) pressed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius over healthcare.gov’s continued problems during Wednesday’s committee hearing, asking: ‘Why keep limping along? Why not just shut it down until it is put together the way it should be put together?’”
