The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made an official visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, England, on Thursday to mark the opening of the specialist children’s cancer treatment ward. It was one of the first public appearances in weeks for the couple, who have been lying low as Kate reportedly completes her time in “princess school” and decides what charities she will work on behalf of. Prince William was appointed president of the Royal Marsden in 2007, a position his mother, Diana, also held, the Telegraph reports.

Kate kept it simple with a three-quarter-sleeved felt dress from Amanda Wakeley and her signature L.K. Bennett nude patent pumps.
