Amanda Marcotte applauded the move, which brings the social media giant’s policies regarding sexism in line with its stance toward racism.

Helen Epstein, on The New Yorker’s Page Turner blog, revisits former Nazi Melita Maschmann’s memoir, “Fazit,” 50 years after its publication. Epstein tracked down a Jewish childhood friend to whom Maschmann reached out and tried to explain why she joined Hitler Youth.
