American soccer players abroad: Goals by Carlos Bocanegra, Maurice Edu, Herculez Gomez

Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu each scored in Rangers’ 4-0 victory over Dunfermline (video here). It’s the first time, we believe, Americans have scored for the same high-level European club since Bocanegra and Brian McBride for Fulham against Newcastle in September 2006. Meantime, Herculez Gomez scored for Tecos in Mexico, his second goal in the past two matches (video here at 1:05 mark). In Italy, Michael Bradley’s corner kick led to Chievo’s first goal, and the Serie A club went on to surprise Genoa, 2-1 (video here).
