American soccer players abroad: Goals by Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, DaMarcus Beasley, Joe Corona, Tony Taylor

Clint Dempsey scored twice in the first half of Fulham's 3-0 victory at Bolton on Saturday, increasing his overall goal total to 21 in the 2011-12 campaign: 15 in the Premier League, three in the FA Cup and three in the UEFA Europa League. His EPL total is fifth behind Arsenal’s Robin van Persie (26), Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (23), Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero (17) and Newcastle’s Demba Ba (16). Unlike those four, Dempsey has not added to his haul with a penalty kick. Video of his first goal Saturday:

U.S. national team update: In mid-May, players will begin reporting to training camp in Florida ahead of five matches over 18 days: May 26 friendly vs. Scotland in Jacksonville, May 30 friendly vs. Brazil in Landover, Md., June 3 friendly vs. Canada in Toronto, June 8 World Cup qualifier vs. Antigua in Tampa and June 12 qualifier at Guatemala.
