American soccer players abroad: Hat trick for Matt Taylor, goal for Herculez Gomez, Josh Gatt, Brad Rusin, Joe Corona

It was a bountiful weekend for Americans playing abroad. While most of the top-flight exports have yet to begin league play, secondary players showed well. Here’s a wonderful run and finish by 24-year-old defender Brad Rusin (UCLA, Carolina Railhawks) for Koge in Denmark (thanks to 101greatgoals.com for the tip):

And here’s Paderborn’s Matt Taylor (Kansas City, Chivas USA) recording a hat trick (at 3:20, 5:30 and 7:05 on the video), hitting the crossbar (3:50) and getting poked in the eye by the referee (4:05):
