American soccer players abroad: Jozy Altidore 2 goals, Matt Taylor hat trick, Alejandro Bedoya, Michael Parkhurst, Clarence Goodson also score

The Americans abroad roundup resumes with the weekend performance by 62 players. There are many more exports playing in foreign leagues, but I have narrowed the focus this season. That means I will no longer provide updates on players in, for example, Finland, Sweden’s second division or any major countries below the second tier. One exception this week is Matt Taylor, who plays third division in Germany but posted a hat trick in a German Cup match. Missing from the list is goalkeeper Dominic Cervi, who is searching for a club after being let go by Celtic. Maurice Edu is probably on the move from Rangers soon. Another change to the roundup: The breakdown is by league instead of position.
